I am running SETI on a Macbook Air with a core I5. I know it is not the most powerful computers , bu that is all I have. It has an Intel HD6000 GPU. Basically I would like to not receive GPU tasks as I am constantly hitting the 'snooze GPU' button as the laptop gets too hot with CPU temperatures going up to over 80 degrees. Is this possible ? Can I not use the GPU or stop receiving GPU tasks at all ?

Go into your account name top-right and then into "SETI@Home Preferences". Click "Edit Preferences", Uncheck all the "Use...GPU" options and then click "Update". You won't get any more GPU work.

If you add a second machine with a GPU you want to use you'll need to change this but until then it will do.
