Okay, I've installed Linux Mint Cinnamon v19.2 to a USB... now what could go wrong?

Thank you Keith and Rob, you've helped me understand a bit more of "The Linux Way!"

Seriously, thank you! When I receive the SSD I ordered from Crucial, and they were the cheapest with free shipping on a $22 SSD, it will be about a week. I'll load it and if I have any questions, which I always do, "Ah'll be BACK!"

I use Antix linux and persistence,
I am playing with other versions
mint, zorin, pepermint etc

I've been testing Peppermint and I really like it. Very light-weight and stable. I may start shifting to that when I rebuild machines. Lubuntu is also good, but a couple of missing dependencies make the BOINC install a nuisance.

I also played around with Puppy for half a day. What a nightmare! It's a neat little OS, though.

I've been playing around with a bunch of Linux Os'es in Oracle Virtual Box. (OSBOXES.ORG)

I like Zorin and am now trying Peppermint - Perhaps we should have a thread for Linux Flavors?

That sounds like a good idea. That way we all don't have to individually keep solving the same problems with the distros. A central repository would be nice.

If you feel the need for such a thread there is nothing to stop you creating one.

I am running SuSE Leap 15.0 on a laptop and SuSE Tumbleweed development version as a Virtual Machine on a Window.8.1 PC enlisted in Science United. I would be glad to help. Tumbleweed has a 5.2.8 kernel and is frequently updated.
