I send a form where i say i use only for non comercial use and they reset my acount. No more anoying msgs anymore.

Wish you best of luck that TeamViewer does not"pull the rug out from under you" in a few months like they did to me and thousands of other's.

Based on postings on their "support" site I would give them 3 to 6 months max before it happens again.

If they do, this time i will be prepared. Thanks for the warming.

I use to use Log Me In in my old business 20 years ago. Worked really well when I needed to access the main parts database in L.A. from Las Vegas. I have no idea if it still exists, but it was very simple and fast. Sadly it looks like all the remote viewing products are monetized now.

I found Anydesk works for me. It allowed me to access my home network when I was travelling across the USA last year.

I backed up all my pictures from my laptop to my home PC.

Works on Linux as well, for the WOW event I have 5 "headless" Linux boxes and use Anydesk to remote into them no problem

I was not aware of anydesk. I have been using splashtop and paying $17 a year for 5 access anywhere connections but I supplement it with RealVNC for Linux support in the subnet (5 free).

I read that anydesk is free for personal use but I did not see any details like how many connection can be used of if it only works in the subnet, etc. It appears you can drag and drop stuff using anydesk. Is that included in the free-for-personnel-use ? I cannot do that in my $17 a year subscription although text can be pasted.

How many connections? do you mean how may simultaneous connections, I have only ever made 2 at once and both were on my local network

Or do you mean how may different machines can you install it on? I currently have it installed on 9 active PC, one windows tablet and my Android phone.

As to "drag and drop" no you cannot, however you can cut/copy and paste files between machines. When I was on holiday in the USA last year, when ever I had decent Wi-Fi I used it to copy my camera pictures via my laptop to my machine at home in the UK close to 2,500 pictures over 3 weeks without any problems.

They are now trying harder to get rid of free users. They block my PCs, even though I have them use very rarley.
I changed to RemoteUtilities. Very powerful, but not for linux. Needs no port forwarding , easy filetransfer, remote dos prompt, task scheduler,...
