This is not going to be over even by the Election. I understand that the Republicans rehearsed with a mock Mueller interview and so did Mueller and the Democrats I believe. From what I can tell nothing new has been disclosed so this is, as I said, a "slow play." So, I doubt this event will change public opinion and I assume the "talking heads" of the cable news just filled their tanks and are going to be on a proverbial road trip for a couple of days. The Justice Department publicly issued guidelines on Tuesday that set boundaries on Mr Mueller's testimony, instructing him to stay within the confines of the written report. Mr Mueller said he would abide by this - echoing similar comments he made two months ago. This virtually ensured that the former special counsel's testimony would not cover much new ground... So... All just a game of political grandstanding and show and farce. There is one interesting stark comment: ...
