The so called "Wow!" signal was received here on August 15, 1977 so why not hold it on its anniversary dates?

Cheers.

For several reasons some already stated:
1. Overload of the Electric Power Grid in the hottest period of the year in areas of the Northern Hemisphere.
2. Unnecessary wear and tear on the refrigerated Air Conditioning systems of the computer-occupied structures.
3 Potential damage to computer systems while operating at near high temperature limits.
4. Enhanced cost factors for electric power consumption and for damage to and/or replacement of failed hardware.
5. Personal discomfort from high temperatures within the room(s) where computing components are located.
6. And last but certainly not least: All the factors stated plus possibly others would be measurably reduced by aggressive computing during cooler periods.

I appreciate all inputs. Bill

Forecast today: 105 Fahrenheit and 40.55 Centigrade.

7. It's vacation time.
I myself was on vacation until yesterday and can not participate.

Bummer less than 4 Hours to go and No Tasks.
And now our Hosts sit here with No Work.

Yep! 5-7 Days is a much better time for this being August the Hottest Month of the Year.
At least here in the USA that is. Maybe SETI.Germany Can Rethink this for the Rest of the World.
But we do say this each year and it only falls on deaf ears.
