I have Windows 10 Pro installed in 64 bit. When I bring up tsk Manager it shows Seti running in 32 bit mode not 64 bit mode. I have check this against another system and Seti is running in 64 bit. Is there something I can do to force Seti to run in 64 Bit instead of 32 bit mode. Thank y ou |

Make sure you download the 64 bit version of BOINC. It is offered in both 32bit and 64bit versions. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

BOINC may be, but default Seti applications running on the CPU for Windows are 32bit only, they cannot be forced to 64bit. Besides, tests in the past have shown there's hardly a speed up between 32bit and 64bit. |

There are 64-bit CPU applications, but the GPU applications are all 32-bit. That's been tested: 32-bit is faster for the relatively small address space that SETI requires. |
