My goal is to find ETI. I only join Wow to help the team as it's impossible I will ever even get to a "podium" finish what with others' farms and offline bunkering. I did fill my caches just before the event started and then empty them once it did, but that was all.

Whatever gets as many people motivated to do as much valid work as possible and submit it on time for credit is a good thing, including contests, and spoofing, bunkering and getting as many machines/cards online as possible to win them. This project keeps asking for more volunteers and more work done because we're only currently processing one percent of the tsunami coming out of the Breakthrough Listen receivers, which I think are our best chance of ever actually fulfilling the project's goals of finding something. (Our processing has ten times the sensitivity of the BL processing done onsite.)

To me, here is our current actual ranking: currently everyone who has ever participated in this project, from W3Perl to the person with no computers attached yet who joined five minutes ago, is tied at zero ETI signals found. Someday we may find one and then at least two of us will be tied for first place with at least one point. All the other credit points are just good for telling us how much data we are sifting to get there.

So keep at it as best we can. :^)
