I've devoted a lot of energy to developing Nebula's web interface. This lets you see the results of a Nebula processing run at a high level (i.e. the multiplets and pixels), "drill down" to signal lists and waterfall plots, and drill down still further to see the verbose log file output of the programs. If you see something suspicious, you can make a "bookmark" that calls it to the attention of me and others.

The initial audience for this interface was the SETI@home team: me, Eric, Dan, and Jeff. But I've always had the idea that any SETI@home volunteer should be able to use it - not just out of curiosity, but potentially to help us by evaluating the output and calling our attention to problems and anomalies.

I finally got around to writing instructions on how to do this. These instructions are sketchy, and they omit a central part: how to identify RFI in waterfall plots (I hope Eric or Dan can write this; they're the experts). But they're enough to get you started. Caveat: you'll have to become very familiar with Nebula first, by reading the docs and also the other entries in this blog.

David-

I'm curious to browse through this, but I think the links you provided are either broken or internal.

The domain name is missing from the links. They should be respectively https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/nebula/instructions.php (instructions) and https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/nebula/web/ (docs).
Gazing at the skies, hoping for contact... Unlikely, but it would be such a fantastic opportunity to learn.
