back in 2012 i raced to 38,000 credits, then i lost interest in boinc. now after a 7 year absence i am back running it again.

Whats the difference between Seti@home and the beta?

SETI@Home (aka "Main") is the area where the actual work of the project takes place.
Beta is an place where testing of new applications for both the servers and users are tested.
