Hey all! I have looked around and couldnt find a thread to use, so I hope it is okay with me posting this thread here...

It's weird to say (compared to most of you) that I just joined the site on May 29th. I have been running my main desktop 24/7 and using my laptop on the side as well.

My question...is about what sort of backlog we have. I have noticed my desktop/laptop have been computing projects from as early as 2008.

Do we really still have un-touched data from 2008?

Thanks :D

I think the answer is, not necessarily. A lot of the data is crunched multiple times to try to be sure that nothing is overlooked. At least that's the way I understand it.

Yes/no. What we have is data that might have been overlooked. We have data that might have had noise in it that new filters can remove. We might have data that a new deeper look algorithm can coax something else from.

Data isn't being re-run just to keep computers busy.

Thanks for the responses, I was curious, but that makes total sense!
