I am running V8 on Debian and am running two projects, Rosetta and Seti. If I look at the Tasks page three Rosetta lines say is running and the three Seti lines say Seti is reay to start, and has been this way for a couple of days.
If I look in the Boinc Manager under Tasks only Rosetta is listed, twice.
Can you help me getting Seti back running again please.

You appear to have suffered a "mass abandonment" in the last 24 hours, leaving just three tasks either "running", "ready to run", or "waiting to run".
Running - calculation is actually taking place
Ready to run - not started yet
Waiting to run - started, but another task has "jumped the queue" and stopped it running - this can happen when you are running two projects with very different expiry times. From memory Rosetta has very short expiry times compared to SETI. So BOINC places them ahead of SETI in the queue for processing.
Also there have been reports of Rosetta not respecting the amount of data per request and so swamping other projects, thus causing the sort of thing you are describing - very few SETI tasks and loads of Rosetta tasks.

One thing - on the "tasks" tab in BOINC's desktop there is a toggle button on the left-hand side to display active tasks or all tasks. The label on the button is the state that is entered on pressing the button, not the current state, make sure it says "show active tasks".

Since I posted Seti has started running again and things are behaving like you described Rob, so thanks for the info and help.
