There are certainly some very stupid people out there that only wake up after they've killed some of their family because of that stupidity. :-(

Conspiracy theorists’ party leads to death of two family members.

A Trump supporter and full-blown conspiracy theorist threw a party after boasting that COVID-19 was a “scamdemic”. Then his family members started dying.

Tony Green admits he fell into a “conspiracy trap” that led to the deaths of two members of his family.

The Texas-based Donald Trump supporter has come full circle after previously labelling COVID-19 a “scamdemic” – a phrase he picked up in his dealings with “radical and rowdy cult followers” online.

Mr Green wrote about “family tragedy” in an open and honest blog after his father-in-law and his father-in-law’s mother fell victim to the coronavirus – and he himself barely survived.

He says he was a “hard ass that stood up for” his “God-given rights” when he threw a party that sparked a massive cluster event and killed his loved ones.
I'd like to see this so called “God-given rights” in writing delivered by this so called "God" himself.

Take care and be kindly to the rest of the world.

Gaining good Karma[*] is far more than just being good for the soul.

[*]: TLDR: Be good and well and so live well. Live in a good and kindly way and enjoy living in a good way. Enjoy living and being happy...

A slightly longer yet still succinct idea of one aspect of Karma is:

Wikipedia: Karma - Causality
wrote:
... The theory of karma as causality holds that (1) executed actions of an individual affects the individual and the life he or she lives, and (2) the intentions of an individual affects the individual and the life he or she lives...

... The idea of karma may be compared to the notion of a person's "character", as both are an assessment of the person and determined by that person's habitual thinking and acting...

If we had a greater proportion of people enjoying their own kindly considerate good Karma, with the more healthy concern for ourselves AND others, we could well clear whatever pandemic far more quickly and safely...

Stay safe!

Karma is a key concept in some Eastern religions including Hinduism and Buddhism. Karma, a Sanskrit word that roughly translates to "action," is a core concept in some Eastern religions, including Hinduism and Buddhism.
Derived from the Sanskrit word karman, meaning “act,” the term karma carried no ethical significance in its earliest specialized usage. In ancient texts (1000–700 bce) of the Vedic religion, karma referred simply to ritual and sacrificial action.

Interesting belief which IMO doesn't do anything to resolve the world's problems.
Edited for grammar.

A certain class of people believe god talks to them or through them. David Berkowitz, David Koresh, Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Spanish inquisitors were some of them.

A more complete understanding is to appreciate the idea that a whole person is the sum of their thoughts and actions... And their actions consequently shape their thoughts and who they are...

"Good health" is a way of enjoying a good life!

Everyone can make whatever they may wish of those ideas :-)

The last reporting period was another record breaking day with over 399,000 new cases being reported (may even likely pass 400K as a few numbers are still missing) taking the world's total past 39,152,800 cases along with over 1,102,400 deaths and the U.S. put in over 66,000 for the day exceeding India's daily count while passing 8.2 million cases with over 222,000 deaths (it seems that they want to hang onto those #1 positions).

Anyhow back down the list. Slovenia jumped up 5 spots to 104th place while Georgia passed Sudan into 97th, Slovakia removed Greece from 84th spot as Bulgaria knocked Australia out of 81st, Myanmar passed Bosnia and Herzegovina before Jordan jumped both of them as well as El Salvador to move into 77th place and Ireland passed Palestine to take over 68th place. Lebanon displaced Singapore from 61st place as Belarus passed China for 50th, Portugal took 46th spot from Costa Rica while Nepal passed the Dominican Republic into 37th place.

The Netherlands became the 26th country to pass 200,000 cases while Israel became the 24th to pass 300,000. Turkey overtook Saudi Arabia for 21st spot as Germany passed the Philippines into 19th while the U.K. keeps accelerating and is quickly closing in on South Africa (11th), meanwhile France is rocketing along as they became the 10th country to pass 800,000 cases and closing in on Mexico.

If numbers keep on as they are today's reporting period could be a real shocker. :-O

Remdesivir has very little effect on Covid-19 mortality, WHO finds
Remdesivir, one of the big treatment hopes for Covid-19, has very little effect on preventing deaths, according to a large and comprehensive trial run by the World Health Organization.

The drug, which made by the US biotech firm Gilead, has been talked up as a potential cure and was taken by Donald Trump. A trial in the US had previously showed it reduced the length of stay in hospital. But the gold-standard Solidarity WHO trial, which was based on a far larger sample – 3,000 people on the drug, compared with as many who were not – showed Remdesivir had little effect on deaths over 28 days.

This tier 1,2, & 3 shambles isn't going to work.
With incidents like, it won't

Of course it is not going to work.
And it is not going to work unless they start making the area's realistic.
They have made Lancashire tier 3 but that excludes Blackburn with Darwen. Where is the main hospital for this part of Lancashire?
Can the police at Blackburn police station go into Blackburn? It's at Whitebirk, near to Junc 6 on the M65, which is in Hyndburn.
If you travel from Lancashire towards Greater Manchester how many people know where they cross the border. What happens in a house I know of, that a friend owned 20+ years ago. The front door is in Lancashire the back door in Gtr Manchester.

The Ribble Valley new cases, manly in Clitheroe, are only about half of those for Blackburn and a third of Burnley. Only heard of two cases in Waddington in the last two weeks, both are teenage school kids who are driving the parents mad because they only felt mildly ill for a couple of days.

The only reason I can think of that we are included in tier 3 is to keep the idiots from East Lancashire out by having the pubs shut.

And it is not going to work unless they start making the area's realistic.
Using appropriate boundaries, and learning some local geography, would be a good start.

I think most people here know I live in the Bradford local government area, at the western end of West Yorkshire. Bradford (the whole of Bradford) was in the first group of northern restrictions. Then they started to relax them...

The first press report said 'Bradford is going to be relaxed. Only the city centre of Bradford will still be restricted'.
Then the press said 'Only the centres of Bradford and Keighley will be restricted'.
And slowly the real details leaked out. There was a list. The names on the list were eerily familiar - they were the local electoral wards. Of course they were - it was politicians making the decision, and the only time the politicians overlap with people is when they're looking for votes. Electoral maps are probably the only ones they have.

The centre of Keighley is divided between three electoral wards. And each of them also has a rural hinterland. So much of Bronte country was restricted. So was much of Ilkley Moor (up to the watershed). As well as the targeted town centre, the actual restrictions also applied to rural villages, isolated hill farms, uninhabited grouse moors, and a lot of sheep. Baaaaa, humbug.

The world has put in another record breaking day with over 413,200 new cases being reported which takes the total past 39.5 million along with over 1,108,600 deaths. with the U.S. back to reporting over 71,000 new cases for a day.

Slovenia has jump up 3 places and into 101st place, Georgia moved into 96th passing Montenegro as Slovakia passed South Korea into 83rd while Jordan knocked Denmark out of 76th, but I have no idea what's going on with Tunisia as they havn't put in any numbers over the last few days. Libya and Ireland both jumped past Ghana to take up 66th and 67th respectively while Armenia and Austria jumped Nigeria for places 58 and 59. Nepal flew well past Panama and into 36th while Poland jumped over Ecuador, but then Czechia past both of them and into 31st spot, and a fast charging Indonesia was passed by an even faster Germany for 18th and Italy didn't even blink as they passed Bangladesh for 16th spot.

South Africa became the 11th country to pass 700,000 cases with a hard charging U.K. quickly gaining on them while an even quicker France (10th) has positioned itself right on Mexico's rear bumper.

That'll do until the next update.

About the only bright spot during this pandemic is the low spread of this season's flu cases. Due to the precautions in place for Covid 19
