While the U.S. has 1 of the worst public healthcare systems in the world Donny won't like this news.

Coronavirus drives health insurers back to Obamacare.

Health insurers fled the Affordable Care Act in the early years of the law, fearing that losses from covering too many sick people would eat away at their profits.

Now the insurers increasingly view Obamacare as a boon while job-based health coverage faces its biggest threat yet in a crashing economy.

The government of Slovenia now states as the first country in Europe that the epidemic in the country is over, reports Reuters. According to the authorities, fewer than seven confirmed cases per day have been found in the past two weeks.
Hmm... Why do I think this is not true?

Question mark? I'm convinced that the Slovenian health agency doesn't agree at all. But politicians have other ideas of course.

Yes. He makes the Corona mess more worse. And he is spreading his mess to us other countries as well. Like a virus!

There are several other candidates that have the same promising development as this preclinical lab experiment. Does the Genius Trump really approve to this? And what timeline are we talking about? This year? Hardly not. 2022?
It's definitely worth cautioning that no treatment or vaccine is likely to be a "magic bullet" in treating SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, but this is still a promising development, and one to watch as it undergoes clinical trials and the therapeutic development and regulatory process.

Btw. The author of article says "treating SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19". What? You treat COVID-19 and you kill SARS-CoV-2 at best. Sigh... Bad reporting!

Either tracking where you got it from, or where he got it from. Makes it easier for the watchers to join the dots.

I'm starting to hear people locally (informed, professional, people) argue that "the abrupt lockdowns introduced by government without democratic legitimacy are too great an infringement of rights".

In other words, it is more important that they retain their freedom to continue as normal, than that other people retain their lives.

When I express support for the view that sometimes the collective 'right to life' of society as a whole outweighs the rights of any individual, they despair at my lack of respect for individual rights.

It's similar to the response you get from NRA types when you suggest that confiscating individual guns would reduce the national death toll from mass shootings.

Good evidence that the coronavirus stays with people that have been infected from the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Sailors on sidelined carrier get virus for second time
WASHINGTON (AP) — Five sailors on the U.S. aircraft carrier sidelined in Guam due to a COVID-19 outbreak have tested positive for the virus for the second time and have been taken off the ship, according to the Navy.

The resurgence of the virus in the five sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt underscores the befuddling behavior of the highly contagious virus and raises questions about how troops that test positive can be reintegrated into the military, particularly on ships.

All five sailors had previously tested positive and had gone through at least two weeks of isolation. As part of the process, they all had to test negative twice in a row, with the tests separated by at least a day or two before they were allowed to go back to the ship.

The Roosevelt has been at port in Guam since late March after the outbreak of the virus was discovered. More than 4,000 of the 4,800 crew members have gone ashore since then for quarantine or isolation. Earlier this month hundreds of sailors began returning to the ship, in coordinated waves, to get ready to set sail again.

In a statement Friday, the Navy said that, while onboard, the five sailors self-monitored and adhered to strict social distancing protocols.

“These five Sailors developed influenza-like illness symptoms and did the right thing reporting to medical for evaluation,” the Navy said, adding that they were immediately removed from the ship and put back in isolation. A small number of other sailors who were in contact with them were also taken off the ship.

There potentially goes out the window the herd immunity hypothesis.
