I had to disable the BOINC screen saver option because it kept locking up both machines when it was running under GPU (this started two updates ago), and as powerful as both boxes are.. I was a bit shocked at the lockups... but I am throwing it down to some issue with with Win10 as BOINC has consistently been the one and only app on my machines with the absolute least number of problems.

But I do agree with the original poster... I miss the classic SETI screen saver!
I treat everyone with equal disregard, I make fewer enemies that way!

Doesn't time fly. Congratulations and thank you for everything that has been done on the back end to keep the project going for two decades. Here's hoping that in 20 years we're covering 100 % of the sky and 100 % of the bandwidth!

Congrats to all at SETI@home...both past and present, who've helped make this a huge distributed computing phenomena !!

I first saw the original screeen saver at a computer fair in Melbourne, FL, in 1999 and I've had an account for over 20 years now :-)

Hope it keeps on going... :-)

Today 20 years ago, my son installed Seti. Mom he said, you might like this. His account is defunct now, Crunched a wooping 20 Classic Units. Those were the days.

I joined this project about a decade ago, when my older brother, who has a PhD in Particle Physics, mentioned it to me. I've never left since. On to the next twenty!
