. . Has anyone heard when Parkes' Data might make it to Beta? Thinking of trying to resurrect an old rig for Beta to be ready to try it ...

Same way you join any project from the Add project menu item in the Manager. The problem is that Beta does not have an entry in the projects list. But you just input its URL into the Project URL entry box on that page manually. The Beta URL is:

We are now entering the processing the tail end (possibly garbage) of a bunch of blc files. It always makes me feel good to see the old files get finished and clear out of the table like a weird digital spring cleaning.

If you are talking about the list of old files below I could not agree with you more. I likes seeing small files move. I just hope nothing gets added therefore they get processed

Here is a link to one of the tasks I have not long completed. https://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/result.php?resultid=32797244 15ja11ac.10614.25020.12.46.138.vlar_3 Nothing sticks out at me it looks like the data we have always processed. Took 9 minutes 58 seconds to run on my 1070 TI

There is also a BIG file in the list... This one will take a while to split

I am looking forward to seeing this going through the splitter. I would find it amusing if it was all shorties. I know it won't happen but it would be interesting to see this one of the split all by itself

. . Much the same as main. Do a search on SETI Beta Testing and find the home page then select the sign up option. You can join in with your current user account.

. . OR - as Keith said, by using the add project option from the Manager menus and insert the URL he provided (which I can never remember).

. . The only way a GBT tape produces lots of 'shorties' is if it is a very noisy tape, so I hope not.

. . WTF? One of my rigs just tried to report work and got "down for maintence". Already? But the forums are still up so NOT an actual maintenance outage.

. . Just checked other rigs and 2 got that message but one got "no tasks available".

. . I hope it isn't more than a minor glitch/adjustment.

[edit] Good news, it's back, it was only 'down' for 40 mins.
. . Maybe someone looked at the date but doesn't know the rules :)

. . ruh, roh now I am getting downloads sticking again :(

Is everyone ready for the outage today?? They just threw an Aricebo file on the splitter. I really enjoyed the Aricebo binge we just had. As much as I'd like to finish the tail end of all these blc files, I think they will have to give us some new data for recovery.

And it's come back with a big bunch of blc22 tapes as well, which should keep us warm for the rest of the week.

Hi,

Why does it have DIAG(nose) in the name?

a) Is it a diagnostic 'tape' to test the validity of the crunching software with artificially created 'hard' tasks?
b) Is it a diagnosis tape containing an actual suspect (real) pulse?
c) Is it a diagnosis test run of a new or an existing telescope?
ö) Something else (an Aprils fools tape?)

. . What outage? I blinked and missed it ???
