ok i first think the software is bug atm. when i click account or website . in adance mode it does noting.
i did install a rx460 on topof the rx 580 already in pc. i will wait for wu to be done and uninstall it and see if it will work correctly and also to see second gpu. will be used.

any in sight on multi gpu set up?
i should note. i had another set up with more the 1 gpu work. so am not sure why its not working on the win 10 64 bit machine atm

If the two or more gpus are not the same card in device/family/model, then BOINC will only use the most powerful card and ignore the rest. You have that situation with a RX 460 model and a RX 580 model. BOINC will only see and use the RX 580 model without telling BOINC to <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> in cc_config.xml.

When using 2 different cards based on the same manufacturing source you need a cc_config.xml,

<cc_config>
 <options>
   <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
 </options>
</cc_config>

in your BOINC data folder. ;-)

Cheers.

Make sure that you "Save As" and that "All File Types" or "*.*" is in the Save Parameters. IF NOT done, your cc_config.xml will end up as "cc_config.xml.txt" Also, (to make sure that it's NOT saving as .txt), make sure that Folder/File Options are set to "Show Hidden" and "Show Known File Types and Extensions"...

I'm NOT sure about Windows or Linux Systems; BUT, on Mac - after Saving the cc_config.xml in the proper location, BOINC needs to be Reinstalled to Reset BOINC Permissions. Again, NOT sure if this needs to be done on Windows or Linux.

You should also see "Config: use all coprocessors" in your startup log.

Windows is tricky with Notepad and .xml files. It is very common to end up with a cc_config.xml.txt file. That is why they recommended you set your "display file extensions" in file explorer.

Then if you rename the file to cc_config.xml and then run the "read config files" it should work. You may have to restart Boinc Manager.

i did what was list on this post.

If that were the case, it would be working.
As others have said- make sure it is in the correct folder.
C:\ProgramData\BOINC
(unless you installed it in a different location).

Make sure the name is correct
cc_config.xml

Make sure the contents are in the correct format
ie
<cc_config>
    <options>
       <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
    </options>
</cc_config>

Make sure that the file is text only- ie only use Notepad (or similar) to edit it. [b]Do not{/b] use Word or Word Pad (or similar).

If it has the right name, and is in the right folder, and it doesn't have any non-text hidden characters in it, and it has the same format as Wiggo posted, it will work.
