With Paypal, I was automatically and explicitly charged the fee, and I certainly hope Paypal didn't double charge, unbeknownst to me, an additional fee to the sponsor ! Could this be a problem with payments made through some credit card companies or banking institutions ? Good new is I shipped on Friday a lot of packages. I just got my shirt !! It is beautiful ! Thanks to all who spent time on this project. I am grateful. I was bad and sent my payment as a friend to avoid fees. Only a friend would do so much for no profit or gain. :-) |

I received today my superbly designed 20th anniversary t-shirt, and I can't thank enough Uli for her 360 degrees involvement to make it available to our community. And, it goes without saying, I'd also like to convey my deepest gratitude to the generous sponsor(s), to the Berkeley staff (who initiated and kept --and are still keeping-- this project alive and kicking, day in and day out), to the developers, and to the brilliant, inquisitive, optimistic and dedicated SETI@home community of participants at large. Except for the rare DarkBot, I can say with comfidence that you all made me, to a degree or another, a better citizen. I'll wear the tee proudly, looking forward to explain at every opportunity how meaningful the project -- in all its multiple, sometimes deep and far-reaching -- is. I will also wear it in remembrance of all the departed friends and comrades who, alas, left us along the way. Now, I just can't wait for the 25th anniversary "Extraterrestrial Technosignal Detected" special edition of the SETI@home tee. In the meantime, whatever the outcome, there is much work to do. When I first saw the photo of these 20th S@H shirts I was ecstatic!- then the 1999-2019 seemed to resemble a "R.I.P." to the project and I wondered if others not tuned to this endeavor of ours would have that same thought... Nonetheless I am still eager to proudly wear the two shirts on order. ~ Life's short; make fun of it.
