A hit on the power train hard enough to bend the flywheel probably put a powerful force on the crankshaft. Damage to it or the main bearings could have happened. I hope that's not the case, you probably hope even more so.

Yeah, I was told as much today when I called, so the old crankshaft and a new main seal will need to be installed, leaking was mentioned in conjunction with the main seal, the mechanic won't be back until Thursday, I guess He only works part time there.

The shop owner said they are not going to do work like this again as it takes too long. So on Wednesday I get to go shopping for food, looks like I'll be getting a ride again. I think I'll get some large potatoes and Mexican bananas...

Day 4 of this cold. I don't like missing so much work. Should I go in and risk passing this cold or should I stay away and burn another sick day?

Wear a mask. A dust filter mask might work. Or drop by the Emergency Room and see if have a dispensary stand for coughing people. The local ER here has one for coughing people so they won’t spread germs to much.

Except masks are to prevent stuff going in, not stuff coming out.

True but I do have a private office. I can close the door and just wear the mask when I go to the coffee or rest rooms. I do have about 20 sick days. I have now used 3. Still stuffy, sore throat and cough but the fever is gone. Hate to get others sick. Ok Called in sick again.

Have you taken any cold/flu medication Carlos? This I've found helps some, that and blowing the nose, I'd keep a few spare masks around since they will get wet and need changing. It's that or stay home and don't spread it by coughing or contact with surfaces where the germs land. In any case get well soon and good luck.
