Hello!

I have been trying to get rid of processing errors with bonic running seti@home without much success.

I get several work units each week that show either 'error' or 'invalid'.

I have given the pi a quality power supply, eliminated the SD card and run only from SSD. I also added a big heatsink and temp controlled fan to keep the temperature lower and more constant.

So I wonder if others have found a reason or solution to this issue? Why does it happen? What can I do?

You might want to ask this question over in the Number Crunching forum where several members post and have extensive RPI farms. They could possibly give some insight. The invalid was due to an excessive pulse count and that usually means the processor was running too hot. The error task was an invalid instruction which could be memory related or heat related.

Thank you for the pointer - I will monitor it longer and see what I can find. I will post on the number crunching area if I can't sort it out any other way, but the last couple of weeks it seems to be more settled. Tech stuff huh? ;)
