I thought about Posting this in Beer Drinkers' Thread, but when you all see the price of this stuff, I think you'll agree that it needs its own Thread... As I said to my best friend, I could put a small down payment on a house, OR buy a Mercedes Benz and a half, OR buy this: 50 Year Old Balvenie. Bartender, 2 Oz. please, Neat. Oh yes, this one tastes very good i`m sure. I once tried a 30 years old single malt from scotland. I loved it. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

In the end they're all just flavoured ethyl alcohol. ;-) Cheers. |

Hibiki, Japanese Scotch - Now at COSTCO in the US. $59.00 for 750 mL. Just picked this up from COSTCO, late last month. It's DEFINITELY more expensive elsewhere! It's one of the BEST Scotches I've ever had. I HIGHLY recommend it. (ALSO, as Chris has Closed his Thread, and has stated that it can be merged into another; I hereby request that his Thread be merged into this one. I will now rename this Thread "The Scotch, Whiskey, and Port Drinkers Thread".) TL (Title Re-Edited.) TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Apparently there's some good Australian fortified wines (we're not allowed to call them "Port" over here unless they come from Portugal) and whiskies out there, but I wouldn't know myself. ;-) Cheers. |

OK - Just got word from the Mods, EVERYONE MUST request that each of their own Posts from Chris' Thread be moved here individually. The request CANNOT apparently be made by me. Good luck everyone. I hope to see all of your Posts in here as soon as possible... (For those who want their Posts moved.) TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Thanks TL for picking up the thread. Love the Japanese whiskies but they have gotten so expensive the last couple years. Some have more than double/tripled even if you can get them. The Nikka 21 is my favorite. Some times use coffee beans to clear the nose. ;-) ;-) dekanta.com is my favorite source/look up for Japanese whiskies. https://dekanta.com ... |

Highland Park 25 Year Old Tasting Wow this just blows all the other HPs I've tried away. Big big favor and nice dark color. Despite what the HP taster says after the first sip it is not that hot/painful and becomes quite delightful. https://www.highlandparkwhisky.com/product/25-year-old HP Taster video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOa4DastNjY [edit1] You can see the long skinny legs ion the glass. ... |
