Has there been some changes to webcode (HTML\CSS\JS) lately?

If I switch off JS I can click the URL button and get:

[url]xxxx[/url]
(I never understood why you didn't add in the '=' ??

However in my browser non of the BB function buttons happen when javascript is enabled.

Either I never noticed this oddity before or something has changed.

Just a report as I still browse with JS disabled unless I have no choice.

Just noticed.

The URL button just adds url tags around text you selected. This is used when you add the URL bare.

= Is only used when you embed your URL under a line of text.

As far as I know the forums don't use JavaScript. I think only the recaptcha uses JS.

My question is why when switching on JS non of the buttons work..

I.E: JS is interfering or intercepting with the normal button functions.

The forum post mechanism does include JS:
    bbcode_t.js
    bootstra.js
    jquery00.js

as well as CSS:

    bootstra.css
    css00000.css
    sah_cust.css

I was just wondering if something had changed lately.

Bootstrap is my thought?

It's not a great matter. I have switched off JS for this domain so I shouldn't have to worry for a while :)

Could also be your browser. Which browser do you use?

You're right that the toolbar is JS, hadn't seen that yet. Last change to the file was done two years ago.

Sorry for very late reply.

With JS switched off I can do this:

Oh My Goodness

If I load the page with JS on I can't do anything from the message \ text formatting menu. Just write plain text.

If I go visit seti_beta I have to switch js back on because their top menu won't work otherwise.

I don't think it is my browser given it is both very compliant with basic JS and copes quite well with inter-browser issues.

Anyway. Time has passed.

I now switch off JS for this forum.
