If an enemy detonates a nuclear warhead generating a destructive EMP pulse against Soveriegn US Territory(which carriers are), the elevators won't matter as that enemy will be nothing but a radioactive memory 3 hours later......and human life will probably cease in the Universe shortly thereafter.

It's called MAD.

Dear JE...

MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) 'worked' because neither side (USA and Soviet Union) were stupid nor suicidal.

But now, what if a stupid and suicidal believing culture controlling a Country or a large group came into possession of these weapons?

This Era is different from the Cold War Era.
Quite true, but if you look at my post,
and human life will probably cease in the Universe shortly thereafter.

makes that distinction.

Stupid Kim or Ayatollah Assahola, nuke a carrier even with an EMP device will require massive retaliation, which will cause their allies to exact massive retaliation......end result........bye bye earth(for everyone but the cockroaches and Keith Richards).

How much does Bernie Sanders pay in income tax?
His networth is most likely not taxed at all.
In my country networth is already taxed for.
And property tax is about 1% but with a maximum of 4%.

Is the reason you know these details because Bernie made his tax returns public source? As for 13%, that's an effective federal tax rate after deductions , e.g.:

Sanders paid $22,946 in deductible home mortgage interest, and real estate taxes on his property amounted to another $14,843. Add in $9,666 paid for state income taxes and $8,350 for charitable contributions, and you have the bulk of the deductions that the tax return claimed.

I am not a Bernie supporter, I just find it striking that we know this much about a person who is running to be the Democratic candidate next year, and yet the current President has not released any similar documents.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Agree.

Trump is either hiding something or playing his political enemy's for fools.

At this time, we can only speculate.

I wouldn't limit to "political enemies" as the group who the current President is playing for fools, I suspect the group also includes many of his allies..

I thought it was common knowledge that very wealthy people doesn't always pay the high tax rate they are supposed to pay by regulations/laws set by the public.
Be it in a capitalist or a socialist country or whatever.
A problem arise of course when some countries that doesn't have a transparency in the PUBLIC economy.

I don't give a flying fart on a rolling doughnut what anyone else makes, has, or pays in taxes. And the same information about me is no one else's business.

As to the wealthy, I do not begrudge them being successful as it demonstrates that in the US you CAN achieve these things.

In a Socialist, Communist, Marxist, society you can achieve anything..........the state allows you to.

So you don't care where all YOUR tax money goes to?
Fine. Maybe you are already very wealthy. Good luck:)

I care very much where my tax dollars go. Which is why I vote for the most Libertarian candidate running in elections. And why since retirement, I have lived in a manner and arranged my visible income to allow no with holding on any disbursements I take from my retirement(which by the way is NOT an entitlement as I paid into the plan for 45 years). I show effectively a $0 TAXABLE income every year and will continue to do so. All legal as I'm just taking advantage of the allowed deductions.

Here's another little piece of real humor.......

10 Surprising People Who Advocated Socialism
https://listverse.com/2014/05/13/10-surprising-people-who-advocated-socialism/
“Socialism” is considered a dirty word in the United States. Being a hard-working, “free market” capitalist is a part of our national mythology. But it wasn’t always this way. The socialist movement used to be quite strong in the early 20th century. There was even a socialist candidate for president—Eugene V. Debs—who captured 6 percent of the vote in a four-way race in the 1912 presidential election. However, by the early 1920s, an all-out assault on socialists conducted by President Woodrow Wilson had successfully weakened the movement. Since then, people have associated socialism with the Soviet Union and government programs

One of the MOST WELL-KNOWN and GREATEST PROPONENT of SOCIALISM dA World Has Ever Known Said This:

.....And for the rest, those swarms of black, and brown, and dirty-white, and yellow people, who do not come into the new needs of efficiency? Well, the world is a world, not a charitable institution, and I take it they will have to go. The whole tenor and meaning of the world, as I see it, is that they have to go. So far as they fail to develop sane, vigorous, and distinctive personalities for the great world of the future, it is their portion to die out and disappear.

Argue if you will whether we want to achieve socialism or, even if we do want to, whether we could. But don't make it something it isn't. The people are supposedly the state, Not the state forces the people into something. "... everyone equally owns production ... ."
Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes.
