BOINC replica database carolyn Disabled Will be interesting to see if it stays so. Believe the recent project instabilities were due to bringing the replica back online after many months of being disabled. Disadvantage is the inability to view reported tasks anymore. Web site & forums in extreme super slow motion mode at present. Edit- Naturally after 15min (or more) of behaving badly, as soon as I post about it, it sorts itself out. *eye roll* Grant Darwin NT |

All hosts with stalled downloads and 5 hour backoffs. Things are not running well at all on the servers. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

wonder what is going on ?? . . Yep. all downloads hanging and constant 'cannot access server, trying reference site'. . . I think it is pretty clear there are some serious lingering problems with the servers. At this point ( here I agree with Chris) some feedback is required so we can move forward. Stephen :( |

at least the uploads are working. That's a good positive thing to think about at this time... There are 4.5 million WUs out there being processed right now, at least uploads are working. I'm sending good vibes to the techs working on the system now, and I'll second the request for percussive maintenance :-) |

After changing my host file from GeorgeM to Vader for downloads they cleared and were doing well, but it now looks like Vader has buckled under the load. Cheers. |

My caches are both back to normal again. Rub it in Wiggo with your OLD clients. Ha ha. [Edit] I'm having some luck singling out a single stuck task and then retrying the download and it can go through. But soon as I choose 2 or more to download at the same time, they all fail again. How do you attempt one retry? When I select a single line and hit retry, it still retry's two of them? Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Scroll to the bottom task in the list on the download page in the Manager. Select it with the mouse and click the Retry button. I can usually get a dozen or so tasks that way cleared from the list before the download server begins to ignore me and give me a increased backoff. Then I move to another host and try there until it too craps out. Then move to another host etc. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |
