Something that 'might' help downloading until things are back on track....... I temporarily set max file transfers to 1. Seem to be having better luck downloading 1 at a time. And if it does not connect, only 1 download errors out at a time. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

I'm trying Ian's suggestion of 2 max_reported. Seems to help though still getting instant retries and backoffs when the download starts. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

After a good night's sleep I see that the downloads are still playing up. Cheers. |

Eric does know to look for the most recent Panic Mode thread, he is just a very infrequent poster. The Panic Mode threads started in a light-hearted way, and it's good to keep them that way. But they do serve a valuable purpose, which is one reason why I try to pounce on demonstrably false 'information' posted in them. I know I have been the creator of the threads for a long time, but wow. I have been creating these threads for 10.5 years. And speaking of that, as we are past 600 again, I think I will create a new one again. |
