Message 1983648 - Posted: 6 Mar 2019, 14:16:46 UTC - in response to Message 1983644.

Is anyone getting anything?

I keep getting the "no tasks available" response. And my client has been hitting them every 5 minutes or so for a while.

Tom

Look in the Server Status Page

Results ready to send 0 0 0 0m
Current result creation rate ** 0/sec 0/sec 0/sec 5m

No work is been generating so we have nothing to DL.

All we can do is crunch what we have and hope they could restart the creation of new work ASAP.
I believe you already read the msg in the main page posted yesterday telling they have problem with a memory update.
and working to fix that.

Yes. Apparently our servers are getting old enough they are suffering from "Alzheimers"? Sorry...... :) That was a "memory re-seat" mention....

Oh, well. At least we can complain here instead of there

Confused here.
Splitters are running and tapes are being consumed.
Where the work is going is anyone's guess.

but I agree with the basic principle:

If you want to crunch for SETI (for whatever reason) seriously enough to put your own money into a computer build, please consider donating a small percentage of your budget to the work supply chain. Without the servers and the staff who manage them, your hardware investment will be useless.

Finally, there is output!
A mighty - trickle.

Looks to me like the transitioners and validators are working through the pending tasks, and when they reject one, it goes back into the queue as a replacement. I don't think the real splitters have got into gear yet.

If I am reading it right, its creating 3 tasks/second. With nothing "RTS".

Software and hardware all need to be overhauled. But until they decide they want to do that and set about getting a fundraiser going, nothing is going to happen.

So they do the best they can with what they have. Back up projects have been running all week.

Web server is having a very hard time sending or refreshing pages. Makes it impossible to view anything since everything is timing out. A post takes over a minute to show up.

I'm getting nothing but 500-Internal server errors and the text to notify administrators that the HTTP connection is broken. Shut down my sole Seti only cruncher even though I have tasks to report. Pointless currently. Will wait until the project is back on its feet. The others can crunch for my other projects.
