Clyde, i hate to break it to you but there's no such thing as a socialist politician in the US.

I am trying to understand why you are so afraid of A O-C? She's no different than Bernie. And you like Bernie.
What's going on?

Starting from the end, in a Trump vs Biden scenario I'd have to vote for Trump because I'm sick of neo-liberalism. Fortunately in the real world I can vote for Jill Stein and dodge that bullet :)

But can you explain point #1 in a different way please? I don't quite understand what you are trying to say. Are you saying A O-C would want to try and control Means of Production?

Why do you think Bernie is nuanced and A O-c isn't? What did you think of Bernie way back when he was A O-C's age?

I'm only guessing but I bet she loved the fact that Trump killed the TPP. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head but I'm sure there are a couple more. I really don't understand why she has to agree with Trump on anything? Why are you saying that?

Again, my question was: Why are you afraid of A O-C?
That's all I asked...

Afraid of a politically stupid person, who describes herself as a democratic [sic] socialist

Hehe ok. I'm jumping to conclusions but I'm going to guess this is Fox News being efficient and effective :)

To drag this conversation back to reality "the left" in the US (and the rest of the Western World) are the one's with the iPhones.
And you can pry them from their cold dead hands :)
Even the left are capitalists these days.

AOC is not going to turn into Pol Pot if she ever becomes president :)

Enjoy Monk.

I am rather sure I can answer that. But first, I don't think that those afraid of A O-C can even admit it to themselves never-mind anyone except deep on redit.

They are afraid because: 1) Speaks truth to power. 2) Has ovaries. 3) Well spoken. 4) Not WASP. 5) Motivated.
Not necessarily in that order.

I have heard it said that the worst parts of TPP were put into NAFTA 2.0. True or not? And, if true, does that allow for the possibility of a resurrection og TPP?

It must be a terrible burden not being able to understand what others obviously and clearly do.

Why some cannot understand that a primitive belief in a small ruling class of imperfect humans and some will be evil centralizing control of not only Government but also the 'Means of Production'.

Has always and will always destroy the people.

Is a great question.
Is actually a dumb question. "Imperfect humans"? "People"? Are you saying that "people" are perfect & ruled by imperfection?

Put another way, why one repeatedly says it will be that there is a small ruling class of imperfect humans (which is what we have now), when what many are calling for is widening the amount of input (multiple imperfect) people can have and hoping that we can come to concensus ... is a great question.

P.S.-and I suggested previously that, the reason for why, is that someone is lying.

Sarge, I wish I could answer the first part but I know nothing of NAFTA 2.0.
The last question is easy to answer though: The TPP will be resurrected the MINUTE someone/anyone thinks it's not political suicide to do so.
Republican OR Democrat.

On the TPP, that will now depend on us Founding Member Countries agreeing to let the U.S. in and you'll only get secondary status privileges if we do (the U.S. has missed out on Founder Country privileges already).

Hehehe :)

Until a better theory comes along I'm going to go with #1 and #5 from that list.
#5-Motivation: I can't see why a civilian would be bugged by motivation but 99% of career politicians? Hell yes. She makes them looks lazy and, bought & paid for.

So I think it's mainly #1. A lot of people seem to lose their sh*t the minute anybody starts "punching-up". It's like a knee-jerk reaction of "how DARE you question the status-quo!?".

That's huge. They are one of the largest employers in the Fresno area through the farms that are part of their cooperative.
<ed>And they are the Red part of California.

Guess they are a big company, many stores here sell them, from 1 oz snack packs to 1 kg boxes.

They are big for a private company, Manta says about $360M revenue.

They're all the same company... and likely own & sell 90% of beer all the way over here in Greece.
Almost every one of their beers over here either tastes like crap, water, or like farts one day and the next batch comes out descent.

Just another lovely multi-national that's paid 100s of millions in fines for price fixing.
i.e. peanuts :)

A O-C FTW though!

(BTW I did see that video yesterday and it was really, really bad.)
