It's looking excellent for London. We've not had a single cloud in the sky all day and as long as that lasts, which I think they're saying it will, it's very promising. I expect I'll be awake for it too because I'm not sleeping terribly well.

I'll try get a picture or two if all that I said up there ---^ happens :) I'm sorry to hear you might not get to see it though (the eclipse, not so much my pictures. My photography skills are more absent than present when I operate cameras and such).

Not looking too good for eclipse viewing here in northern California, either. Last evening got my hopes up. I could see the Moon through thin, broken clouds that seemed to promise a break in the fairly consistent overcast of recent days. Then it clouded up again and rained, overnight. Back to near- total overcast this morning. The weather predictors see a possibility of clearing, later today, but that remains to be seen.

Not looking too good here, I can just see the moon through some thin cloud.

What a dummy I was. The eclipse is tonight Sunday/Monday. I thought it was last night Saturday/Sunday. Perfectly clear tonight but very cold for Florida.

No lunar eclipse visible in Russia, sadly.
AND it's very grey and very overcast.

At -2C it was ----ing cold! Still -1C now.

Is it very humid over there for the weather to feel cold? Also windy, perhaps?

Very high in the sky here in Tennessee. Started about 9:30 PM. Very thin, wispy, fast moving clouds spoiling a clear view==also cold here : 23 Fahrenheit, and I couldn't find our 2 pairs of binoculars. Watched till about 1/3 covered. Less spectacular and more uncomfortable than I would have liked.

AS luck would have the moon disappeared behind a cloud 20 min before total. No red moon for me.

I had the luck, that the cloud started to break up and I got a few glimpses, but at the same time it started to rain harder.

Here in northern California, overcast broke intermittently , allowing a brief view of the Lunar eclipse at about 50 percent, and then again later for totality. When the Moon was covered in clouds they gave a multicolored rainbow-like effect; very pretty. At totality, as usual, the orangey tint made the full moon look more three dimensional than it usually does, especially through binoculars.

As forecasted, complete cloud cover in the Montreal QC area.

But for many all wasn't lost, thankfully :)

As it turned out it was perfectly clear over central Florida Sunday night and the eclipse reached totality around midnight. I watched the last bit of brightness disappear and then hurried back inside. I wonder, is there still any science to be gleaned from scientific observation of a lunar eclipse, or is one just something interesting to watch?

Party pooper here: I heard an expert comment that the reddish color was caused by Earth's atmospheric contaminants, and that to his knowledge no studies used this phenomena's metrics to study how it correlated with other standard atmospheric studies. Makes sense since we know violently beautiful sunsets are "improved" by the density of air pollutants...  =:/
