As it stands, that bus slogan is attacking 2 neo-liberal views: 1) The EU (or Germanic Empire as Tucker called it) 2) The idea that suddenly there's no money for the NHS So the slogan is great IMHO. Ironically the lie is in the OTHER slogan Exactly WHO is going to take back control? Boris? :P |

If only similar cases could take place in the US. Boris Johnson, favorite to be Britain's next PM, to face court for alleged Brexit liesSo we can expect Treason May facing charges of lying 108 times to the country with her "We will deliver Brexit". It is well past 23:00 29/3/19. Thatcher, Cameron, May. TCM, good movie channel that. |

Nope. British Steel was in difficulties long before the referendum & Brexit. I think the criticism of the UK Government in failing to support British Steel is wrong in this instance, except that the delay in leaving has caused it, the reason its occurred is that under EU Membership Rules, the Government can't either bail out or Nationalise an Industry to prevent it from going bust (as Jeremy Corbyn knows already), and the way the EU has engineered the much higher Energy prices in the UK compared to other European countries, and the fact that any project, national or otherwise is compulsory tended to the cheapest bid in the 27 other European States, with lower standards of living, means the British Steel Industry has been slowly bled dry by EU Membership, and the Rules are designed for it to fail as a business. The fact that our own money in the form of Membership Fees, ToR, and VAT, has been used to fund the export of British Manufacturing Industries and British Jobs to other European or none European States by EU Grants (our money in the first place), is also of some considerable effect. Lets face it, we're systematically being bled dry in terms of Industry, Jobs, and Money, and people are getting just a tad upset about it. ![]() |

I think you'll find it is much more than "just a tad". |

Hate to be blunt, but you aren't the low bidder and never again will be the low bidder. Doesn't matter if EU or not EU. Some Asian country will be low bidder over any EU state. It's called globalization. Blame capitalism. |

Each one is in it for themselves, and we need to switch to voting for the person, not the label. Which will need a lot of personal research...Sensible idea, unfortunately, until last week, never heard of any of them. I think that is the case for most people here, which likely means that party will be voted for. |

Labour retains Peterborough by 683, Brexit Party 2nd, Conservatives 3rd. Almost from the moment this by-election was called, a circus has descended upon Peterborough.Labour retains seat |

Someone ought to remind this fool that democracy voted out & with Article 50 invoked, the departure date was 23:00 29/3/19. As this is now 10/6/19 & we're still in, so much for the "best of British democracy". But Michael Gove said such a move would be "wrong" and contradict "the best traditions of British democracy".What a squabble |

The sound of dog-whistles emanating from Westminster is deafening. And they've all got a magic money tree in their back yards. |

One thing May & her government failed to do in the last few months on May's tenure, has now been signed, the commencement order for the repeal of the 1972 European Communities Act. 31st October 2019, the UK will no longer be subject to EU law. :-) So 1st November 2019 looks promising. |

I can see it now. UK gone, so a EU re-entry tax is adopted. UK doesn't care. Next day, ECU membership made contingent on EU membership. Perhaps the path is mandatory renounce of ECU and adoption of ECU2 by EU members. They have to do something like this. They will make it plain to all the rest that they never try with the UK did because it will hurt too much. |
