I've already Reinstalled the NVIDIA Web Driver for Mac - Ver 387.10.10.10.40.113 which is the Latest, (and ONLY), Ver for High Sierra 10.13.6 Sec Upd 2018-003. (10.13.6 - 17G4015.) In creating the New Hackintosh - Andromeda System, I performed a Clean Install of MacOS High Sierra onto the Primary Samsung 860 Pro 1TB SSD. I FIRST had to use Disk Utilities in MacOS Installer to get the Samsung recognized as a viable Drive to Install MacOS to, this required HFS+ MacOS Extended Journaled with GUID. This allowed me to start the Install Process. As MacOS was being installed to an SSD; on the fly, MacOS Installer converted the SSD to APFS Format. Under APFS, it's been said that OpenCL and OpenGL CAN be deprecated and that once Upgraded to Mojave from High Sierra that these both will be lost in favor of Metal/Metal 2. I'm NOT planning to move to Mojave UNTIL NVIDIA and Apple come to an agreement on releasing proper NVIDIA Web Drivers... So, since my SSD is now APFS, BUT High Sierra is STILL SUPPOSED to allow OpenCL and OpenGL to run, WHY am I NOT being allowed to see these two items as available??? Is there a way to FORCE OpenCL and OpenGL for my MacVidCards' GTX-1070 8GB Card??? AND, IF this is NOT a MacOS issue but is some weird issue of the Flashed GTX-1070, again, can OpenCL and OpenGL be FORCED to run on this Card??? TL [EDIT:] OH, and without OpenGL ALL my Blizzard Games REFUSE to Launch. 😞 TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Now you know why Apple refuses to sign off on NV drivers for Mojave. Basically, the nVidia Mac drivers suck, and have for quite some time. You can probably get it to work by simply changing the slots the cards are in. Also, the driver has slots 1 & 2 backwards. It seems to work a little better in Sierra. Usually you can tell if the driver is working by the color of the Dock background. If it's white, the driver isn't working...change cards/slots. |

Now you know why Apple refuses to sign off on NV drivers for Mojave. Well, I switched the Cards around and NOW the EVGA GTX-1050 in the First Physical Slot WON'T let the MacVidCards' GPU have Video on Bootup!!! Had to completely pull the 1050 from the System. 😯😧😮😲 HOWEVER; with the MacVidCards' 1070 in the Middle Slot on the MOBO, BOINC reports that OpenCL IS NOW PRESENT!!! Further, ALL Blizzard Games WORK!!!!! 😀😃😠I guess I'm stuck with a Lone GPU System!!! TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

The Boot slot is set in the Gigabyte BIOS. I'd suggest you boot to the BIOS, disable the integrated Video, and set the Boot slot to the 2nd video slot. That should work better. |

Thank you for that... 😀 I wasn't aware I had to change the Boot Order of the Cards in BIOS. I DID however; (before the Installation of MacOS), Disable the Integrated HD-630 in the BIOS. [Update:] New toy has arrived for the Mid-2010 Mac Pro 5,1 - Daedalus. One MacVidCards' GTX-970 4GB GDDR5 VRAM GPU. Just spent the last hour and a half enabling it in High Sierra, Sierra, and BootCamp/Windows 7 Pro SP-1 x64. Both the 970 as Primary GPU and the 1050 as Secondary GPU are seen by all OSes. Had to install a cc_config.xml to get BOINC in High Sierra to "Use" both NVIDIA GPUs. OH - AND, the Web Driver screwed up the Slot Locations on the Mac Pro, just like it did on the Hackintosh... The 970 had to be moved to Physical Slot 3 and the 1050 is in Slot 1, BUT NOW the Web Driver correctly has CUDA on both Cards, and OpenCL and OpenGL ONLY on the GTX-970. You know, I've been posting about this problem for a few years. It's nothing new. I just acquired an AMD 570 and had the same problem in My MacPro 3,1. Finally got the driver and OpenCL working in Sierra by placing the 570 in slot 2, the NV 1050 in slot 1, and the 750 Ti in slot 4. Even though it's working with OpenCL, BOINC is saying it still doesn't have OpenCL on the 570 & 1050. When I tried it in High Sierra with the 570 in slot 1 BOINC wouldn't even start. I'll have to try it again in HS with the 570 in slot 2 and see if it works. The warning has been removed from HS, but you still see it in the older systems; Sat Feb 2 17:17:41 2019 | | Starting BOINC client version 7.14.2 for x86_64-apple-darwinThe only Apps that need OpenCL is the AMD Apps, so, it must be referring to the AMD Apps. The 570 seems to be working well anyway, and with the cmdlines it's running about as fast as a Vega 64 without cmdlines. Unfortunately, the big honking 150 Watt AMD 570 is slower than a 30 Watt NV 750 Ti...oh well. At least I can run the monitor with the 570 and the Special App on the NV cards. |
