I have seen them on a couple of delivery's. It appears that they are using their private cars.

What their wages are, or if they are Amazon employees and not Private Contractors as Uber drivers are is unknown.

Wow - I had no idea they were branching out like that.

Police ‘miscommunication’ allows man accused of trying to rob bank go free, feds say
A 29-year-old man accused of trying to rob the same bank in Dallas twice was let go both times due to miscommunications, according to federal court documents.

... ... Federal court records show that an arrest warrant for Flowers was executed on Jan. 2. He had his first court appearance then and was appointed a federal public defender.

Flowers was indicted on a charge of bank robbery on Wednesday.

Dallas police could not be immediately reached for comment.

What next... An emotional support dinosaur?

Man says emotional support alligator helps his depression
YORK HAVEN, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania man says his emotional support alligator helps him deal with his depression.

Joie Henney, 65, said his registered emotional support animal named Wally likes to snuggle and give hugs, despite being a 5-foot-long alligator. The York Haven man said he received approval from his doctor to use Wally as his emotional support animal after not wanting to go on medication for depression, he told Philly.com .

Watch out for Granny!

101-year old grandma kills two deer with one shot: 'They both dropped right there'
Age is only a number, and one 101-year-old woman isn’t letting it stop her from doing what she loves.

... After missing four deer earlier in the season, she was determined to get one. And after spotting several, she got ready.

"I decided to wait for a bigger one. Before long, a bigger doe came out and I shot,” she said.

But Vickers ended up killing two deer with a single shot.

Absolutely shameful and well out of order. Why are they allowed to be doing this??

Fuller's, the brewer whose beers include London Pride, is to sell its entire drinks business to Japan's biggest brewer Asahi.
The £250m deal also includes cider and soft drinks brand Cornish Orchards, and craft cask brewer Dark Star.
Fuller's said the deal would preserve the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, west London, where beer has been brewed since 1654.

Probably due to the bottom dropping out of the pub business these days. They do seem to have a habit of buying up, IMHO, some of the worst brands around, like Grolsch and Peroni.

Indeed. Can it really be called "London Pride" anymore? I would feel differently.

I have seen a delivery van with the Amazon smile logo and the word Prime making deliveries.

Amazon Scout robots take to pavements in Washington State

Amazon is experimenting with delivery robots, starting with a little truck called Scout which is taking to the pavements in Washington State.
I can see the local hackers giving them a hippy paint-job and reprogramming them as 'follow-me' lunchboxes.

... and the dumb crooks of the week go to:
Watch: Burglars can’t fit flat screen TV into stolen car, so they return it to home
Video (embeded in article) shows the men attempting to place a large flat-screen television in the backseat and then the trunk of the Jeep Cherokee.

After failing to fit the TV inside the car the suspects return it to the residence.

I once stayed in the Hotel Arbez, on the Franco-Swiss border - where the international boundary (and hence EU outer border) passes through the dining room.

My first instinct would be to say the building was there before the boundary line. Why would they build across it?
