Wasn't it the battery that exploded, not the vape pen?

Cool. There is now snow in southern England as well. That's rare.
Strange that I haven't seen those snow rollers here in Scandinavia shaped like that though.

Not as rare as one might think - often Kent and Cornwall have snow earlier than Birmingham.

Kent, right across the channel from Calais. Neat view, and the cliffs of Dover? Nice.

Here the weather turned cold, maybe not as bad as back east, but cold enough.

Sad to see this happen but at least they have caught and charged 3 scammers.
Now all we can do is wait for a LENGTHY PRISON SENTENCE and ASSET FORFEITURE as a possible deterrent to future scammers.

3 men tried to extort $80,000 from New York man in 'grandparents scam,' police say
Investigators with the Palm Beach County (Florida) Sheriff's Office said they caught the suspects by staking out one of the delivery addresses.

I couldn't decide which photo was best, they're both great in their own way.

In the shower. Is that thing electrical? If so a Darwin Award may be in order.

Looks electrical from here - to the standard used in the UK and former colonies, which probably makes it 230V/240V.

But it was a good one all the same.

Sadly I've seen installations a bit like that, and taken great pleasure in diss-ing them at the mains in.....

He pretended a date stood him up at Outback Steakhouse on Valentine’s Day. Strangers picked up his tab.

A thought popped into Stephen Bonser’s head midway through Valentine’s Day.

“If I went to Outback Steakhouse by myself tonight and asked for a table for 2, then got progressively sadder as the night went on alone, do you think they’d give me my steak for free?” the 27-year-old, who works in technology sales and lives in Washington, asked his hundreds of Twitter followers.

... On Friday, Outback Steakhouse responded to his Twitter thread by inviting him back for a free meal — the catch being that he has to bring a real date this time.
