18 miles west of Seattle the fire smoke is the thickest of the year and so far the 2nd worst I can recall ever.

It's hard to fathom the heat and fires on the west coast
(I live in MA). I slipped on some moss, on a sidewalk in
Seattle's North Broadway district, in the '60's.

Apparently weather forecasts have been inaccurate because of the coronavirus. Few planes are flying and the meteorologists have not been getting the high level data the planes provide.

This is nat'l news, but to repeat: Up to two feet (60 cm) of snow, Sat. +/-, and up to 60 mph winds, possible.
So, have my long-handle snow shovel by the front door. It'll go into the back car seat, after the snow's ended.
