Hello, I have the above message in the GPU tasks. And they don't run. I have set the preferences to use GPU and they used to word up to a couple of months ago, but then the above message apperead and they don't work anymore. I am guessing here but try going to the Boinc Manager activity tab and clicking on "run gpu all the time" or something like that. In both the local settings and on the website there is a box that says roughly "suspend gpu" whenever I get on the system. I am guessing that might be the issue. The other time I can think of getting a message some what like that is when I have suspended a task by high lighting it and clicking on the "suspend" button. Please let us know if my idea (of run the GPU continuously) works. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Hello, thanks for the answer. I cheched but I can't see such an option in the web preferences. In local preferences instead thesere is such an option. I used to choose that the GPU would stop while the computer is busy but I changed it and now it should work always but nothing changed. I have set the local preferences, but nothing changed. Also I disn't stop any task at all. I also have tried to start all over the project resetting it so I had new tasks but nothing has changed. Up to some monthes ago the GPU was working, but now it does not work anymore. I also changed the GPU but nothing has changed as well. Maybe I can uninstall BOINC and then install it again? Do you think it is a good choiche? I can't think of anything else. |

GPU Suspended - user request happens when: 1. You've set BOINC Manager->Activity->GPU usage to "Suspend GPU". (25/11/2018 17:56:49 | | Suspending GPU computation - user request) 2. You've set GPU Snooze to on -> right click the BOINC icon in the system tray->Snooze GPU. However, this only works for an hour, not days, weeks or months. So go to the Activity menu in BOINC Manager and set GPU usage to "Run based on preferences". Then it will follow the preferences you set via the web site or local preferences. Only set the GPU usage to "Always" when you really want the GPU to be used always, and interfere with anything else happening on your computer. |

Jord forgot to say - the command is on your computer not on the web - use the "BOINC Manager" and follow Jord's instructions. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Thanks, it was easy when one understand it. I don't think anyone who is asking for help is "bothering" anyone. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
