I have just been working on my 2nd PC, removing an unused HDD, and when it rebooted BOINC showed no SETI@Home project at all.

The last line repeated for 200 odd lines, the changes to

Having never seen this before I have no idea what has happened.

Any ideas?

Does the Manager think it could continue running with the tasks here Bernie, except for still not attaching to the project itself, by means of the user account needed for such?

Sorry I don't understand.

SETI@Home is not in the project list so it does not run any tasks.

P.S. I have restarted the PC twice now and all that has happened is that all the error messages have gone except :

[error] Couldn't parse account file account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml
[error] Couldn't parse statistics_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml

Just checked and both of the above files just have NUL NUL NUL etc.

So they are corrupted, suppose I will have to do an "Add project" as I know no other way to get the files back which will no doubt cause all tasks to error.

Oh well I was only planning on using this machine overnight anyway so if it all goes wrong I can just switch it off permanently!!

OK did that, lost all 119 tasks as abandoned got 2 new ones instead.

Will lock the tread now as problem sloved.
