Halloween is coming! What are your favorite candies from childhood, and what do you give out?

I liked the classic candy corn and pixie stix, but I give out Hershey's Miniatures.

I remember one year when I was a kid, somebody gave me a cupcake, and my dad put it in his pocket. That didn't work out too well.

Milkyway

Classic, and my mother's favorite, but we both like Milky Way Midnights even better.

Though Hershey brands are loved worldwide, the site you are attempting to view does not support EU/EEA sales at this time. You will be redirected to our corporate site, which provides information about the company, our products, CSR initiatives and investor information.
And https://www.thehersheycompany.com/en_us/home.html wants to know my location.

Jan, if you can't get Reese's peanut butter cups in Europe you are being abused.

Sometimes at Halloween I'll have M&M's... Best candy for the money, melts in your mouth, not in your hands.

Scary news again!
"m&m" lovers, time to start hoard. And you "m" fanatics can put the champagne on cooling.
Marabou's candy balls "m" have won another victory over Mars's "m&m" balls.
Now the court has ruled that "m&m" can not be sold in Sweden - it's a trademark infringement.

Almond Joys are my guilty pleasure. I buy "fun-size" Almond Joys out of my niece and nephews' trick-or-treat bags for 50 cents apiece. They think it is hilarious that auntie buys things out of their bags. I tell them that I only want locally sourced, sustainably harvested, actual Halloween candy. (No fair buying a bag of Almond Joys at the grocery store and reselling them to auntie one at a time...) So far, they seem to be following the rules.

Last year Eric and I gave out full sized Hershey milk chocolate bars and we will probably do this again.

Nobody else gives out full size bars anymore. I love, love, love Halloween and I want to encourage as many trick-or-treaters as possible to ring our doorbell. Hopefully the word has gotten out in the neighborhood and we will top last year's record of 20 kiddos.

My brother once had an Almond Joy bar and I had a Mounds bar, and yes now that is rattling around in My brain...

It varies here - 20 is good, but some years we get double that. When I was a kid, I grew up in this same house, and back then there were kids all over the street, and I'd say everybody got visited by a 100 kids. I don't ever remember getting full-size candy bars, though.

Back around 2004-2010 I lived in Solvang, I was in a little pocket neighborhood called Creekside that did have several houses that gave out full size bars. We went to far as to give full size organic fair trade bars along with glow sticks. Kids were bussed in. We typically had 3-500. The fire department would set up a road block so no cars could come it,

We got 29 trick-or-treaters (and three visiting raccoons) this year - a new record for kiddos!

What kind of candy did the raccoons prefer?
I personally doubt they were very picky.
