I just want to inform you that there could be something wrong with BOINC client. It run other projects without any user permissions.
I run BOINC only for Seti project and the manager started to compute another project without my knowledge - Amicable Numbers. I have never registered or done something connected with this project so why it started to use my computer without any reason?
As I am writing this, BOINC manager started another project without my permission - GPUGRID. What the hell it is?

Thanks a lot for this unwanted using of my computer. Version 7.12.1 downloaded direct from BOINC website. Currently stopped all works and deleting this SCAM Manager until there will be any explanation what does it mean. Is there anybody who is able to explain this inwanted activity in BOINC manager?

When you downloaded Boinc you didn't happen to join Science United on the left?

If so this will do exactly what you describe, it will work on any project in an area you have chosen.

Other than that I have no explanation as no one else has reported this problem.

I would suggest downloading the latest version 7.14.2 from the link on the right.
