I wouldn’t doubt this has already been posted but I must bring it up. There should be some way to run SETI on a mobile. |

You can already run Seti on a mobile. Download BOINC from the Google Play Store and install it. If you choose to be a beta tester, you'll get the newest version for Android 7 and 8. BOINC 7.4.53 is for Android 4, 5 and 6, although it can run on 7 and 8, but needs a bit more hands on approach to do so. Turn a couple things on and off. BOINC 7.14.1 is for Android 7 and 8, which should be able to run without the hands-on approach. But that depends on the device, I think. Seti has applications for the older Android versions (32-bit) and newer ones (64-bit), but not all work reliably on all Android devices. You have to try. iOS is a proprietary operating system by Macintosh and they do not allow the downloading and running of external applications from one main application as BOINC does. So there's no iOS application and there won't be any. |

You can already run Seti on a mobile. I must have missed where I can get Seti Beta on mobile. How do I? On the pc-based, I had to manually change the URL. I don't see how to do that on the mobile BOINC. Thank you. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
