To Whomever in an Admin position, I just received one of the "naught boy" emails saying I had been doing this, that and the other. I always read them and have a laugh because they tell me they are looking through my web cam at me right now and my web cam, built in, has something on it 24 hours a day!! However, this time it wasnt so funny. They gave me a password I use which I looked up in my password list and it applies ONLY to Seti. It is the only way in which that password could have been put into the hands of that scammer. Would you be so kind as to check what is going on please? Also, for your own security and that of your users, force everyone to change their passwords. I just changed mine. Greg. |

A while back a scammer did the same thing to me, and the password they mentioned was connected to a Seti account, as well as other places, so I can't confirm for certain they got it from Seti, but with your statement, that does point to Seti as being a possible breach point. It's always a good idea to change your password from time to time. That being said, I seldom do. ~Sue~ |
