No, I only have the one card. I figured it would be a cheap quick upgrade, especially because it is faster than the internal graphics. Still haven't taken a look to see if there is a Bios fix that I didn't spot the last time I looked. Thanks. I'll let you know what I find. Allen |

Might try these directly from Amd https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-hd/amd-radeon-hd-6000-series/amd-radeon-hd-6670 Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Thanks for the research but I already have those drivers, just not installed presently. Still have to check for the motherboard bios update. Allen |

Now that another project is over I have ordered a 2400G with a Motherboard. Wow, great news. I just built a system that I have been piecing for about a year now, but kept the same box and hard drive. (Made getting Seti back online faster. This rig was an A8 3780 but it died, so I kicked it up to an A8 7600 with R7 graphics. We'll see how it runs for a while before playing with it. I still haven't done much with the other system that we spoke about earlier, but it is running sooo..... Allen |

Now that another project is over I have ordered a 2400G with a Motherboard. The 2400G MB/CPU/Fan have arrived but I have another experiment (what happens when you plug 6-8 GPUs into an Intel Server [have to install a 1600 watt PSU first]), grocery shopping and a couple of work shifts as well as Sunday church scheduled ahead of it :) May not get to "it" until next Tuesday during the maintenance window (one of my days off). That sounds exciting, but will it work? Never have had more than one GPU. Allen |

My AMD A10-6700 is sold as a four cores CPU, but the Windows 10 Task Manager says it has two cores and four logical processors. Anyway it runs only two CPU tasks and one GPU task. My new Ryzen 5 1400 has 4 cores and runs 8 CPU tasks and one GPU task. Tullio |

That sounds exciting, but will it work? Never have had more than one GPU. Turns out the Intel server will only run 3 discrete gpu cards. :( Oh, well. That leaves me more video cards to try out on other systems like a 2400G after I get done wringing all the performance I can out of the internal gpu. One question will be if the MB will support running the internal gpu and a discrete gpu or two at the same time. Some do, some don't. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

My new Ryzen 5 1400 has 4 cores and runs 8 CPU tasks and one GPU task. The AMD A-10 series has two physical CPU chips (I think) and each chip runs 2 physical cpus. However, each physical CPU chip has only 1 floating point processor that is shared between the two cpu's on the chip. This causes much slower processing on the CPU when you try to run 3-4 CPU tasks. When you add the competition for memory bus resources to it, that is why you can run all CPU or all gpu but you can't run all CPU and all gpu. It may be that your best combination is the 2 CPU tasks and the gpu task. It MIGHT be you can get a little more production done using 3 CPU tasks and 1 gpu task. Only testing that way will be able to determine it. And it might take a couple of weeks to really see that there is an increase or decrease in production. They both show 4 cores every where I look. Allen |

Well good luck to you on running the internal GPU with an internal GPU !! Allen |

I've shifted most of my BOINC tasks to the Omen HP desktop with the Ryzen 5 1400 and a GTX 1060. It had only 8 GB RAM when it arrived and I added another 8 GB. It is connected to the router by WiFI and often has a 270 Mb/s throughput to it.I have a fiber to the cabinet connection, should work at 30 Mbit/s but mostly it works at 21 Mbit/s. I have a network of 2 Windows 10 PC, 2 Linux boxen, a printer, an Ulefone smart phone also running Einstein and SETI on it ARM eight core processor with Android 7.1.1. Tullio |

Now that another project is over I have ordered a 2400G with a Motherboard. Got the 2400G with an Asus Prime B350M-E motherboard running. I am using the CL14/3200 ram that is left over from my 2990wx experiment. So far the only issue I am having is after extended periods of running the keyboard/mouse become non-responsive. I haven't found a setting in the bios besides the suspend to disable. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=8645775 I am currently running at "standard" speed which is about 3.6GHz. It has faster memory settings (it at auto -> 2400), extreme gpu settings etc. But right now I am looking for the non-responsive issue. Power plan has "never sleep" set. Now that another project is over I have ordered a 2400G with a Motherboard. Chatted with MB tech support before work yesterday. They suggested I run a Memory test to see if there is an issue. So I am running Memorytest86 on all cpu's right now. Since it is a stand-alone self-booting test everything else is at a standstill. Since the system was freezing anyway I didn't try to run anything last night. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Duh! I forgot that on AMD cpus (at least the Threadripper and AM4 socket) you need to disable the CPB aka Cpu Boost or Seti will cause you problems. This wisdom comes to you from Keith Myers, one of our most experienced and skilled users of AMD cpu's. CPB enabled causes bad things to happen. Like the system crashing. Another reminder. When you want to run 3200 memory at 3200 you really need to increase the dram voltage to 1.35 volts. Otherwise the system will crash. If your CL14/3200 memory has some other voltage on the side of the chip, go with that voltage. Oh Yes. I have been running 7 out of 8 available threads from the get go. This based on the received wisdom that all production goes up if you don't run the CPU at 100%. There is also evidence that on this type of CPU/gpu (aka: integrated CPU/gpu) that if the memory bus is not heavily stressed, the CPU/gpu produce faster task processing speeds. Tom ps. Yes the RAC keeps going up :) A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Duh! Apparently, my "GREAT" memory has struck again. Keith didn't tell me to disable the CPB in AMD's. I am now testing it with the CPB enabled again. I was also having crashes with insufficient memory voltage and may have confused one with the other. A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Tom, sorry to hear that the chip is giving you trouble. Found a very informative video here that may offer some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZgpHTaQ10k The engineer suggest bumping memory voltage up--even higher than 1.35 V--to 1.4 V or 1.5 V. If your motherboard supports it, increasing the SoC voltage may improve stability as well. |
