However he (Kim il-sung) did have to personally gather a coalition to have power. And having been an able guerilla fighter against the Japanese he had many who would follow him. He didn't come to power by accident of birth as so many have.

#1 - The Kim family are murdering and enslaving maniacs. Whose murdered and enslaved people are subjected to slave labor camps and death if they oppose the Kim's.

Nothing to do with anyone's moral or ethical "standards".

......Right...........fooled SO BAD there haven't been any tests or launches since the meeting.........AND none of the sanctions were removed or lessened. Just ignored by those who would enable Kim....that's about to change.

I wonder what the backlash will be when the Chinese banks laundering DPRK cash are cut off from access to the American banking system? I wonder what the backlash will be when the 'transfer tankers' are boarded and seized and the cargoes impounded?

The US gave up absolutely nothing by talking, Kim is risking giving up everything and having the screws tightened a great deal more.

However his people still love and adore Kim. When at last the Korean people learned that Kim was abroad meeting Trump they all burst out in tears because they missed their great leader. Well almost everyone anyway:)
