US monitoring intelligence that North Korean leader is in grave danger after surgery

(CNN)The US is monitoring intelligence that North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un, is in grave danger after a surgery, according to a US official with direct knowledge.
Kim recently missed the celebration of his grandfather's birthday on April 15, which raised speculation about his well-being. He had been seen four days before that at a government meeting.
Another US official told CNN Monday that the concerns about Kim's health are credible but the severity is hard to assess.
Daily NK, an online newspaper based in South Korea that focuses on North Korea, reports that Kim reportedly received a cardiovascular system procedure on April 12.
Kim received the cardiovascular system procedure because of "excessive smoking, obesity, and overwork," according to the news site, and is now receiving treatment in a villa in Hyangsan County following his procedure.
After assessing that Kim's condition had improved, most of the medical team treating him returned to Pyongyang on April 19 and only part of them remained to oversee his recovery situation, according to the news site. CNN is unable to independently confirm the report.
The National Security Council and Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment when reached by CNN on Monday. CNN has also reached out to the CIA and the State Department for comment and sought comment from the South Koreans.

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was not gravely ill, two South Korean government sources said on Tuesday, following reports he had undergone a cardiovascular procedure and was now in “grave danger”.

The reports about Kim’s health are not true, two South Korean government sources said. The presidential Blue House said there are no unusual signs coming from the North.

Now this from Reuters
China sent team including medical experts to advise on North Korea’s Kim

CNN did not report he was in grave danger. CNN said, Daily NK says, received a cardiovascular system procedure on April 12 and CNN is unable to independently confirm the report. CNN also said US intelligence was monitoring him being in grave danger, the same people who brought you the Iraq WMD war. Now if you want to say US intelligence and Daily NK are fake ... .

Speculation and Rumours
Satellite imagery finds likely Kim train amid health rumors
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A train likely belonging to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been parked at his compound on the country’s east coast since last week, satellite imagery showed, amid speculation about his health that has been caused, in part, by a long period out of the public eye.

The satellite photos released by 38 North, a website specializing in North Korea studies, don’t say anything about Kim’s potential health problems, and they echo South Korean government intelligence that Kim is staying outside of the capital, Pyongyang. Seoul has also repeatedly indicated that there have been no unusual signs that could indicate health problems for Kim.

Kim Jong Un’s train has been parked at the Leadership Railway Station servicing his Wonsan compound since at least April 21, the website 38 North said Saturday, citing an analysis of recent satellite photos of the area. The website said that the approximately 250-meter (820-foot) -long train wasn’t present on April 15 but was present on both April 21 and 23.

“The train’s presence does not prove the whereabouts of the North Korean leader or indicate anything about his health, but it does lend weight to reports that Kim is staying at an elite area on the country’s eastern coast,” it said.

Amid reports China has sent a medical team to their communist neighbors this week to check in/advise on Kim, a Hong Kong-backed news channel's vice director -- who's apparently the niece of a Chinese foreign minister -- blasted out the news herself ... he's dead. TMZ has not confirmed that.

The woman put the report on a social media app called Weibo for her nearly 15 million followers to read, citing a "very solid source" about the claim Kim had, in fact, perished. A Japanese magazine reports he's in a "vegetative state" after a heart surgery gone wrong.

If he's dead, and his sister likely takes over, then all bets are off when it comes to NK.
She's a wild card, and possibly/likely open for big, big change.
Only if all those generals let her. ;-)

First step in consolidating power in DPRK is to execute the kids and the wife, then any general who doesn't kiss the ground you walk upon.

TOKYO — North Korea leader Kim Jong Un visited a fertilizer factory, North Korean state media reported Saturday, marking his first public appearance in three weeks.

He's just been hiding in fear of the pandemic that is not causing thousands of deaths in Pyongyang...........

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North and South Korean troops exchanged fire along their tense border on Sunday, the South’s military said, blaming North Korean soldiers for targeting a guard post.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff in Seoul said in a statement that North Korean troops fired several bullets at a South Korean guard post inside the heavily fortified border. South Korea fired two rounds in response after issuing a warning broadcast, it said.

The United Nations calls for $ 1.5 billion in emergency aid for "infection-free" North Korea.

The regime still claims that the country has not had a single case of covid-19, but the outside world is skeptical of what appears to be a clear understatement.
North Korea is among the countries in the world that have taken vigorous measures to prevent the spread of the new corona virus.
The secret regime claims that the country has so far not had a single case of Covid-19.
But since February, unconfirmed data has leaked from anonymous sources in the country about both infected and dead, not least among soldiers.
Meanwhile, North Korea's party newspaper Rodong Sinmun, as usual, praises Kim Jong-un's leader for everything he does. On the other hand, for the first time , the Workers' Party of Korea admits that Covid-19 can actually put pressure on the nation's continued struggle and development.

When the dust settles, if the truth is ever known, I'd wager the fatality toll in both DPRK and China far exceeds that of the US, Russia and European Countries.

China is unfortunate to have a fauna where most of the world flu originate from. Still they hide that fact and saying everything is under control. Well both Russia and the US said also that everything is under control .
In DPRK they say... Hehe:) 여기에는 아무렇지도 않다. No covid here at all.
