HP Laptop system actually powers off stuck in sleep mode. This problem only happens while SETI tasks are running on the GPU. Also tried going back to previous version of BOINC

Any help is much appreciated

Windows uses the lack of human inputs (mouse/keyboard) as a trigger to go to sleep, paying no attention to program activity, thus it is best to have "go to sleep" set as "never" when doing any computational work, including SETI.

Sleep is disabled in the power options. I tried 2 anti sleep programs "don't sleep" and "insomnia" with no luck. I have found that the problem only happens when running on the Intel GPU graphics adapter.

You are spot on. The problem only happens when running on the Intel GPU. I don't see on the preferences Setiathome Web page where you can stop the download to the Intel GPU. Am I missing something?

Your account->Preferences for this project: SETI@home preferences, edit, uncheck Use Intel GPU, Update preferences. The next time your BOINC contacts the server, it will immediately get the new preferences.

Silly me I was on BOINC preferences and not Seti@home preferences. I disabled download to the Intel GPU and now all is well. Thanks for all who responded.
