Agnosticism and atheism are not incompatible. Gnosticism/agnosticism refers to knowledge, whether a person thinks one is capable of knowing there is a supreme being or not. Theism/atheism refers to belief or whether one thinks there is or is not a supreme being, with or without knowledge.
By this I am an agnostic atheist because I don't claim absolute knowledge of lack of any supreme beings as that would be evidentially irresponsible, but definitely do not have any belief there are any in the absence of any knowledge or evidence.

Back in the 1970s I worked in CA, and met a few "pastors", some were genuinely nice people, others were just in it to grab your money. Worst was one that cold-called then demand (not ask for) fifty bucks to ask you a question, they never got their fifty bucks and I never heard their question.
