OK, we're back again. And just was out again for 5 minutes. [Edit} Real flaky right now and the SSP is completely missing as TBar mentioned. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

If you have your checkpoints sufficiently long enough to be greater than the crunching time of the task, then the task just starts over from zero when you restart BOINC. No harm, no foul. What checkpoint time you use? And where i put that? |

If you have your checkpoints sufficiently long enough to be greater than the crunching time of the task, then the task just starts over from zero when you restart BOINC. No harm, no foul. In your account, Computing preferences, Other, Request tasks to checkpoint at most every xx seconds Whatever the longest ever runtime is for a task for you, add several seconds for luck & done. Just had a look at the graphs, and Seti really is doing a good impression of a yo-yo over the last 4 hours or so. Grant Darwin NT |

Yep, it's up and down, does it think it's a yo-yo? |

Didn't we all have this trouble this time last year also in April this year? Wonder if it's due to Day Light Savings starting and Ending around the world? |

the sah assimilators are not running so we have a little less than 5 hours of WUs left. This up and down of the connection certainly adds another dimension to the new "normal" problem the servers have been having. I notice there is a fix ap assimilator 1 process, maybe there needs to be a sah version too. |

the sah assimilators are not running so we have a little less than 5 hours of WUs left. The Assimilators clean up after WUs have been processed & the results returned, but they have nothing to do with the production or distribution of work to be processed. Grant Darwin NT |
