Two running tasks, each SETI@home V8 8.08 (alt). In each case, the 'Progress' meter is going up, albeit slowly, along with the 'Elapsed' time. However, instead of counting down, the 'Remaining (estimated)' timer continues to go up. At this rate, I will never finish the work units/tasks. Do I need to abort these tasks or reset the project? |

Have you stopped and then restarted Boinc? |

Several times as well as restarting the PC. |

I tried it again and the 'Remaining (estimated)' timers were counting down for a few minutes and then changed direction again. Currently, these are the only running tasks. |

The only machine you have which has been allocated V8 8.08 (alt) tasks is your host 7750763 with the AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor. The tasks look OK - every wingmate has completed their copy. Anyone here have any previous knowledge of the 64-bit app on that CPU? |

I've had this happen to me and still happens, I found with mine the GPU stops working and the times go in reverse (overheating issue).. I just let it cool down and reboot computer.. |

I've had this happen to me and still happens, I found with mine the GPU stops working and the times go in reverse (overheating issue).. Could be heat throttling, yes. I have had to set a more aggressive fan profile this summer...hottest and driest summer in decades, so far. Humans may rule the world...but bacteria run it... |
