I have a bunch of computers running s@h, mostly linux but also a windows client. I’m going to re-purpose some of those computers for something else so I’d like to complete all downloaded tasks on those computers. When the tasks are complete, I’d like them to be uploaded but I don’t want the clients do download anything new. When the computer empty of tasks I can use them for something else.

Is it possible to do this? I suppose I could just let the uncompleted tasks “time out”, but I would like to complete the tasks I have downloaded for my peace of mind... :-)

I have searched the web for an answer but my google skills are useless. :-(

Apart from the Windows client, all clients are cli only.

For the Windows client, open BOINC Manager->(View->Advanced view->)Projects->Select Seti@Home->No New Tasks.
For the Linux clients, type boinccmd --project http://setiathome.berkeley.edu nomorework
For the Linux clients do check which URL you used to add them, if it was https or not. I've given the http URL in my example.

Make sure to check all hosts that they reported all work before taking them down. Uploading is only part of the cycle, however, that just moves data from your drive to a drive on the server. Reporting actually tells the database that the task was done and with what outcome.
