I preferred the look of the classic screen saver, where it had a static view of the display, without constantly rotating the text and formatting. Is it possible to give an option to disable that rotation, and make the text and graphics be static? I know it's a trivial thing, but it would really enhance the enjoyment I get out of watching SETI@home work. Thank you in advance! In a world full of people, only some want to fly. Isn't that crazy? |

I would think it unlikely that there would be a screensaver on Android as it would be quite a waste of power and resources. |

The screen saver is run by a special graphics app that comes with the project science application and interacts with the screen saver app BOINC provided for the operating system. None of these apply for Android. It's also not possible to whip up such an app, not only because of the wild variety of Android versions out there that all do things differently, but also because there is no BOINC Android developer at this time. And the one or two that said they were interested wanted to get paid, which is a no-no situation for Open Source software development. |
