Is anyone else (I certainly am!) tired of walking away from their Win 10 computer(s), and coming back to find that Micro$oft has updated the computer (even though they've turned the Win update service off...) and they've just lost hours (if not days, if they were away from home/ work/other computer location...) of computer time crunching for their favorite BOINC project(s)?

Join me in requesting from your Congressperson a Federal bill outlawing the provision in the Win 10 license (and give M$ minimal time to comply, with stiff MANDATORY penalties for non-compliance!) that allows M$ (or any other software company, for that matter...) to update your computer without your consent or knowledge. A return to the days of the Win 7 or Win 8.1 system, where YOU request the update, and do it when YOU want to, is required. I also think the "binding arbitration" clause should be invalid for violation of this, with consumer allowed to sue for damages in lost computer time...

In addition, do you realize how much bandwidth M$ is using to send YOUR information to the M$ HQ? NTM that you have NO control over when that info is sent? I've noticed that about 100 Mb of info goes to M$ every day that my main (I have 8...) computer is online 24 hours. (typically every day, except when I'm on vacation) I wonder what they are doing with all that info from hundreds of thousands (if not millions...) of computers - and just what are they uploading to their computer, anyway? - NTM what are they doing with it, if any personal information is involved? Just how secure is/are the computer(s) that it is stored on?
.
