I've been troubleshooting this for a couple of days and can't get it to work - hence this post. I've seen a lot of these problems posted in my search for a solution but haven't found a definitive fix. I got a used Nvidia Quadro 600 off Ebay to boost the computing capability of my Linux Mint PC for this project. The card works fine supplying video under Linux with any of the drivers I try, it just won't work with BOINC. It always states "GPU Missing". I've tried all the drivers listed in the screen shot to no avail. I also installed a package called NVidia Modprobe which was a suggestion found but that did not work. I also tried restarting the BOINC Client after each driver I tried (after booting up) as that was also a suggestion relating to the possibility that the boinc-client might need to be delayed after booting up, but that did nothing. What should I try next? Linux version - RELEASE=18.3 CODENAME=sylvia EDITION="Cinnamon 64-bit" DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia" DESKTOP=Gnome TOOLKIT=GTK NEW_FEATURES_URL=http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_sylvia_cinnamon_whatsnew.php RELEASE_NOTES_URL=http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_sylvia_cinnamon.php USER_GUIDE_URL=help:linuxmint GRUB_TITLE=Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit ![]() I'm putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all, I think, that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. |

What if you try the packaged drivers from your distro? Also try to install nvidia-opencl-icd with its recommended packages. |
