It has been a wet predawn to all day so far. The rain has not stopped yet. Last look at the Mesonet for the last 24 hour rainfall accumulation was at 1.64 inches and climbing.

We could do with a good steady 6" of that stuff Admiral by the end of the month here, but I doubt that we'll see 1mm in that time. :-(

Anyhow, this pirate needs a refill. ;-)

Cheers.

Hear from you on the wet. Just checked and the number is up to 2.18 inches.

G'morning everyone, from a very ordinary autumn day in the highlands down under.

After 4 days of celebrating I was planning on getting another job here done today, but it's cool out there (16C and feels like 12C), blowing a gale and near everytime I step outside I'm greeted with a very fine misty drizzle.

Anyhow, I guess that I'll just get another coffee and think about my options. ;-)

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from another cruddy day in the highlands down under.

I've had 1 little job to do over the last week outside (should take about 30-45mins to do), but this weather will not cooperate with me, just looking out the window at the trees being blown about by a chilly wind under leaded skies is making my back want to lockup.

It also looks like this weather could hang around a bit longer so seeing as I've almost got enough empty bottles to do another lager brew (the 7 required could spring forth from the beer fridge today) tomorrow morning as getting that other job done looks likely to be out of the question again then.

I know that it's a bit early for a beer just yet, but a rum right now might loosen my spine up a bit. ;-)

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a very ordinary A.N.Z.A.C. Day in the highlands down under.

Well the ceremony in front of the School of Arts here has finished (Lest We Forget) and now the diggers are looking to the top of the hill waiting for the pub doors to open.

I'll let them get settled in first before I go up for a few beers while checking out the 2 up games, and then I'll likely have a few more beers.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from a 2nd lovely autumn day in the highlands down under.

Well with the weather being agreeable here progress has been made around the house these last 2 days. Yesterday was weed spraying and installing the dry vent for my new ensuite while today was reassembling my front garden bed seeing as the excavated ground from my last plumbing job there has had time enough to have settled enough for my liking. I also slightly changed the brick garden bed border's curve at that point too a bit to make it easier for the mower/line trimmer to get in where the border meets the front step and make the top of the bed itself more level with the brickwork behind it (that means that I now have 2 garden beds out front ready for a rejuvenation).

Anyhow, it's time for a refill and some contemplation on what job I can get out of the way around here next.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from an overcast day in the highlands down under.

Well I got a few little jobs done this morning before going out and doing all the edges around the yards, now I'm just waiting for my legs to get their act back together before paying a couple of bills up at the post office and then I may have a beer or 3 as I pass the top pub on my way back home.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a 3rd frosty start in the highlands down under.

Well I came close this morning to putting down that beer brew that I have here, but Friday looks like it'll be a much better day to have that big gas ringburner of mine throwing out the heat as we may have sleet here that day.

While Beer O'clock here is still 5hrs away I better fold and put away the washing from yesterday and then go in search of something else to do to fill in time, but after I have another coffee first.

Cheers.

Lol. I’m at the laundromat doing my washing this morning. I’m seriously thinking about getting out my summer shorts and putting up the long pants. Hotter weather is trying to kick in.

G'day everyone, from a not to bad autumn day in the highlands down under.

Well I've done my Good Friday run into town and back so now I plan on walking around to the Post Office to pay my last council rates installment for this financial year and then I'll pay the top pub a visit for LLB.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from an ordinary start in the highlands down under.

Well I'm getting my brewroom ready for another beer bottling session today and I'll certainly need a drink by the time I have all that completed.

[edit] Now that the brewroom is ready and all 9 stacks moved around so this next batch can go on the end of the row I'm going to enjoy a coffee break before I turn the heat on.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from a lovely autumn P.O.E.T.S. Day in the highlands down under.

Before Beer O'clock gets here I've a package to pick up from the post office so I better get going if I'm going to make it to the pub in time.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from another chilly start (and possible day) in the highlands down under.

Well even though it's a sunny day here it looks like another "Dark'n'Stormy" one as it'll be too cold for the usual Beer O'clock again (12C is our expected max and the windchill factor is already at -6C with the wind off the snow down south yet to hit here).

Cheers.

Warmed sake should be just above body temperature, about 100-104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 to 45 degrees Celsius).

I did a 3 door trip up the hill to the top pub for a few beers today and to drop off the other laptop that I worked on here yesterday (It's a Win7 job so it didn't get the Linux treatment like the Win10 job did, but if it's still alive next year it will get the Linux treatment then), but I'm now back on "Dark'n'Stormies" with 2hrs of sunlight left.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a very cold start in the highlands down under.

It's Good Friday again here and the regular trip into town will be extended today as I'll be heading out to Inverell (a further 65km) for some more brewing supplies.

Anyhow, I'll get back to keeping warm.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from a 2nd cold and wet day in the highlands down under.

Well it was a good morning here to produce some heat in my brewroom (there has been some snow in the region) and put down a 58L ginger beer brew (a new and improve version this time which should give better flavour as well as more kick), but it's definitely not a beer day again.

Dark'n'Stormies it is again then. :-D

Cheers.
